Today was a a day to get us lined up for our walk into Burgos the following day. We headed for quite a smart hotel in Villafranca, hoping that they would admit slightly rough looking types for breakfast before we did a climb over the hill and through woods to Atapuerca where we wanted to stay the night. This was again to be a hotel with a slight difference because when the hotel guests adjourned to their bedrooms after dinner, we would go outside and round to the barn at the back of the hotel to out 7 Euro bunk beds.
